Questions

Is this allowed by Instagram?

Yes. You download your own data with Instagram's official "Download your information" tool, then choose to open it here. SaveSort never logs into your account, scrapes Instagram or touches anyone else's data.

How do I get my saves file?
  1. Open Instagram → Settings → Accounts Center.
  2. Your information and permissions → Download your information.
  3. Choose your Instagram account → Some of your information → tick Saved.
  4. Download to device, format HTML, then Create files.
  5. When Instagram emails you, download the zip and drop it straight in. No need to unzip it.
HTML or JSON?

Choose HTML. It includes each post's caption, which is what SaveSort reads to sort and flag your saves. JSON only includes links, so everything lands in "Needs the video".

Does it watch the videos?

The free sort reads captions. Pro breakdowns also research every tool, site and method a reel mentions. Reels with almost no caption are labelled "Needs the video" so you know which ones to watch yourself.

How accurate is the free sort?

It sorts by the words in each caption, so it's quick but not perfect. A gym reel that mentions "business" might land in the wrong topic. Pro breakdowns are checked against real sources.

Can I cancel Pro?

Any time, from your account, in two clicks. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.

Is SaveSort part of Instagram or Meta?

No. SaveSort is independent and isn't affiliated with Instagram or Meta.

The free sorter runs entirely in your browser. The Instagram file you choose is read on your device to build your report and is never uploaded, stored or shared by SaveSort. We don't use cookies or trackers to sell or share your data.

SaveSort's own social accounts are run by a posting tool that uploads SaveSort's videos to SaveSort's own Instagram, YouTube and TikTok accounts. Where it uses Google sign-in (YouTube Data API), it only uploads videos to the SaveSort channel. It doesn't access, store or share any other person's Google or YouTube data. SaveSort's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can review or remove an app's access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

SaveSort Pro. Payments and subscriptions are handled by Stripe; we never see your card details. We keep your Stripe subscription ID inside your Pro code so we can check it's active. When you tap "Break it down" on a save, only that save's caption is sent to our server and to Anthropic's Claude API to write the breakdown. It isn't stored by us, and your file and other saves never leave your device.
